Job Description

ResCare Community Living, part of the Sevita family, is a respected provider of quality services aimed at empowering individuals and enhancing their independence. Since its founding in 1974, ResCare has been dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them to live more independently both at home and in their communities. The organization prioritizes person-centered services that emphasize skill-building, overcoming personal challenges, and enabling individuals to reach their full potential. ResCare Community Living operates under the mission-driven umbrella of Sevita, a leading provider of specialized health care services delivered in home and community settings across the United States. Sevita employs over 40,000 dedicated team members who serve approximately 50,000 individuals nationwide, all with a focused commitment to innovative, compassionate care.

In the role of Program Supervisor, ResCare offers a meaningful career opportunity that allows individuals to make a significant difference in the lives of those they serve. This position is crucial to the organization's success and growth in expanding service access to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Program Supervisor is responsible for facilitating the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) and managing a range of administrative tasks such as staff hiring, training, scheduling, and ongoing team oversight. This leadership role involves supervising a team of Caregivers who provide direct support to individuals. Duties include assistance with daily activities like meal preparation and planning, medication administration, and personal care. The responsibilities are divided among providing direct support to clients, engaging in professional or program-related activities, and exercising supervisory functions.

Moreover, the Program Supervisor plays an important role in promoting community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings or providing transportation for work and other activities. This role fosters not only care and support but also inclusion and engagement for individuals within their communities. The position offers both direct impact and leadership development, providing an excellent opportunity for gaining supervisory skills while maintaining a hands-on approach to client support. Employment types are flexible, with full-time, part-time, and as-needed schedules available. Full-time employees benefit from comprehensive compensation and benefits packages, including a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, holiday pay, and employee referral bonuses. Joining ResCare means becoming part of a committed and caring professional team that values job security, career advancement, and making a positive impact in people’s lives.
