Job Description
ResCare Community Living, a division of Sevita, is a trusted leader in providing quality services that empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more independently at home and in their communities. Since 1974, ResCare has built a reputation for delivering person-centered care that fosters skill development, independence, and the ability to overcome challenges. As part of the broader Sevita family, which supports 50,000 individuals across the United States, ResCare benefits from a rich history and a network of experienced professionals dedicated to enriching lives through compassionate, tailored support. Sevita is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive workforce and upholding equal opportunity employment practices.
The Caregiver role at Sevita represents a truly rewarding career path where professionals have the opportunity to make meaningful connections and significant impacts on the lives of participants. As a caregiver, you will assist individuals with their personal hygiene, help support their developmental goals including budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, and encourage their participation in community activities. You will be part of a team that values trust, initiative, and compassionate care, often supporting individuals with complex behavioral challenges and other needs. The role requires patience, reliability, and a genuine passion for enhancing the independence and quality of life of those served.
At Sevita, caregivers thrive because each day holds purposeful work and the chance to help people grow, learn, and live well. With supervisors who prioritize your wellbeing and provide supportive leadership, you are empowered to do what’s right for participants. This position offers competitive pay, with pay on demand options, a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental coverage, paid time off, holiday pay, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching. Additionally, Sevita invests in your professional development through ongoing training, ensuring that you have the tools and resources needed to advance your career in a stable and expanding organization.
If you have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a compassionate and patient disposition, Sevita invites you to join a supportive and mission-driven environment. This role suits individuals who are adaptable, excellent communicators, and comfortable multitasking in a caregiving setting. A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with insurance are required given the community-based nature of the work. Sevita’s long-standing commitment to equality and diversity ensures a welcoming and respectful workplace for all employees, regardless of race, gender, age, or other protected characteristics. Explore a fulfilling career at Sevita where every person deserves to thrive and be treated with dignity and respect.
