With over 50 years of experience and a workforce of more than 40,000 team members, Sevita supports approximately 50,000 individuals across the United States. The organization’s mission is grounded in the belief that every person has the right to live well and the ability to achieve personal growth and independence, regardless of the challenges they face. Sevita fosters a culture of compassion, respect, and dedication to quality in all services provided, ensuring that individuals receive personalized support tailored to their unique needs and goals.
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) role at REM Community Services is a dynamic, rewarding position offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. This is a part-time or PRN (as needed) role with a competitive starting pay rate of $15.25 per hour and on-demand pay options, providing flexibility and immediate compensation. The DSP will be part of a mission-driven team that values initiative, patient care, and community inclusion. With open interview events held periodically, candidates have a straightforward path to join this fulfilling field.
In this role, you will empower individuals to achieve their personal developmental goals, helping them with budgeting, nutrition, recreation, and community involvement. Your daily responsibilities will include fostering meaningful connections, serving as a trusted mentor and advocate while supporting daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication assistance, personal care, and facilitating outings. The role demands both compassion and patience, as some individuals may require assistance with hygiene or have behavioral challenges and complex needs. By championing inclusion, you will help individuals access community resources, attend events, and engage in activities they enjoy.
Sevita offers a supportive and growth-oriented work environment, including comprehensive benefits for full-time employees such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company match. Employees benefit from training, mentorship, and career advancement opportunities nationwide, along with recognition programs including referral bonuses and rewards for contributions. Sevita’s commitment to employee well-being and professional development ensures a rewarding and stable career path for those passionate about caregiving and community service.
