Since 1974, ResCare has been committed to enhancing independence and promoting quality of life by helping individuals live more independently within their homes and communities. With a focus on person-centered care, the organization fosters skill-building, overcomes barriers, and supports people in achieving their full potential through compassionate and personalized services.

Sevita, the parent organization, is a national leader with over 50 years of experience and a workforce of 40,000 team members supporting approximately 50,000 individuals across the United States. The company embodies a mission to improve lives by providing quality, individualized support that respects dignity and promotes growth regardless of the physical, intellectual, or behavioral challenges faced. ResCare Community Living prides itself on creating meaningful relationships, fostering community inclusion, and offering a stable, supportive work environment for its employees.

This role is a client-focused caregiver position emphasizing one-on-one support with a dedicated individual. The caregiver will work Sunday through Thursday from 2 pm to 10 pm, earning a pay rate of $17.11 per hour. The position requires active driving with a valid driver’s license and a verifiable driving history of at least one year, ensuring the ability to provide safe transportation and community access for participants.

As a caregiver at Sevita through ResCare, you will thrive by engaging in rewarding work that helps individuals grow, learn, and lead fulfilling lives. You will develop authentic, impactful relationships with those you serve, taking ownership and trust from leadership to make decisions that prioritize the participant's needs. Your responsibilities will include assisting individuals with personal hygiene, supporting complex behavioral and developmental challenges, and encouraging meaningful participation in community activities.

The role also involves supporting developmental goals tailored to the individual, such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, to promote holistic wellness and independence. Employees enjoy a supportive network of supervisors who care deeply about both participants and staff wellbeing, ensuring a work environment that values your personal and professional growth.

Sevita offers competitive compensation, including pay on demand, a full benefits package for full-time employees that includes a 401(k) plan with a 3% company match, paid time off and holiday pay for rest and rejuvenation, job security within a stable and growing company, and ongoing learning and development opportunities to empower your career advancement.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination. Essential personal qualities for this role are patience, compassion, reliability, and responsibility. Vehicle requirements include a valid driver’s license, access to a registered vehicle, and proof of insurance. This is a crucial role for those passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others through compassionate care and community integration.

Sevita and ResCare Community Living are equal opportunity employers committed to diversity and inclusion.
