Job Description

ResCare Community Living, a proud member of the Sevita family, has a long-standing legacy of providing exceptional services that empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Since its inception in 1974, ResCare Community Living has been dedicated to enhancing independence and helping people live well in their homes and communities. As part of the larger Sevita network, which serves over 50,000 individuals across the United States, ResCare combines decades of experience with a person-centered approach to care. The company’s philosophy focuses on building skills, overcoming challenges, and fostering growth to help participants reach their full potential.

Sevita is a leading provider of home and community-based specialized healthcare, committed to the well-being and independence of the individuals they serve. With a robust team of 40,000 dedicated professionals, the organization invests significantly in training and development to ensure the highest quality of services. The company values diversity and inclusivity, providing a welcoming and supportive workplace where all employees can thrive.

This caregiver position at Sevita offers a competitive pay rate of $17.11 per hour and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day. Caregivers play a crucial role by helping individuals grow, learn, and live fulfilling lives. This job is not just about providing basic care; it is about forming genuine, meaningful relationships with those you serve and supporting their developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. You will assist participants with personal hygiene, manage behavioral challenges, and address other complex needs with compassion and patience. The role requires initiative to help participants engage with their community and enjoy activities they love.

Working with Sevita means being part of a team that trusts and empowers you to do what is right for participants. You will experience a strong network of support from supervisors who are deeply invested in both the participants’ well-being and the caregiver’s professional growth. The company offers a full benefits package for full-time employees, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, and a 401(k) plan with a 3% company match. This stable job with an established and growing company provides job security and a promising career path.

Sevita’s commitment to learning and development means caregivers receive the necessary tools and training to flourish professionally. Whether you are just starting in human services or have experience, this role offers a fulfilling career opportunity where every day is rewarding. Sevita also embraces diversity and non-discrimination policies to create an inclusive environment for all employees, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics. This job is perfect for compassionate, reliable individuals who find joy in helping others live their best lives.
