As a member of the Sevita network, which has been innovating and enhancing care for over 50 years, REM Community Services upholds a mission centered on enabling every individual to live well and independently. With more than 40,000 dedicated team members across the United States, Sevita serves over 50,000 individuals, focusing on quality services and personalized supports that foster growth, development, and autonomy regardless of the challenges faced.

REM Community Services embodies these values by creating an inclusive, supportive, and empowering environment for both those they serve and their workforce. The company is committed to fostering meaningful relationships, promoting community involvement, and advocating for the rights and dignity of individuals with disabilities. Their comprehensive approach includes assistance with daily living skills, community participation, and personal development, ensuring that every person has the opportunity to thrive.

The role of Direct Support Professional (DSP) at REM Community Services offers a rewarding career path for individuals passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of others. This position operates under a PRN (as-needed) or relief staff schedule with starting pay at $15.25 per hour, offering flexibility for those seeking meaningful work with on-demand pay options. The DSP serves as a trusted mentor, advocate, and friend to the individuals they support, empowering them to achieve personal and developmental goals ranging from budgeting and nutrition to recreation and community engagement.

In this role, you will champion inclusion by helping individuals access their communities, attend events, and pursue their favorite activities. You will support daily living tasks such as meal preparation, medication management, personal care, and social outings. Some individuals require assistance with personal hygiene and may have behavioral challenges or complex needs. This role calls for compassion, patience, and a dedication to quality care tailored to each person's unique requirements.

Working as a DSP at REM Community Services means joining a mission-driven team that values your ideas and initiative. The organization fosters growth opportunities through leadership training, mentorship, and nationwide career pathways. Benefits for full-time employees include comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, holiday pay, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching. Additionally, referral bonuses and recognition programs celebrate employee contributions, reinforcing a supportive workplace culture.

REM Community Services also hosts open interview events, allowing prospective candidates to meet the team and learn more about the impactful work they do.
