Job Description
REM Community Services, a proud part of the Sevita family, is dedicated to providing community-based support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As an established leader in the sector, REM Community Services upholds the fundamental belief that every person has the right to live well and enjoy a fulfilling, meaningful life. The organization fosters an inclusive environment where individuals are empowered through care, support, and encouragement to reach their fullest potential. Our mission is deeply rooted in respect, dignity, and compassion, striving to create an atmosphere where every individual can thrive within their community.
Sevita, our parent organization, has been a beacon of hope and innovation in home and community-based specialized healthcare for over 50 years. With a dedicated team of 40,000 professionals serving 50,000 individuals across the United States, Sevita remains at the forefront of delivering individualized care that encourages growth, independence, and enhanced quality of life. We are committed to providing quality services that respect the unique needs of each person, regardless of physical, intellectual, or behavioral challenges. As an equal opportunity employer, we value diversity and inclusion, ensuring fair treatment and equal access to employment opportunities for all.
We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at REM Community Services. This full-time onsite position offers an excellent starting pay ranging from $15.25 to $18.50 per hour, depending on the program, with additional benefits including on-demand pay and referral bonuses. This position is ideal for those who have a valid driver’s license held for at least one full year without restrictions, enjoy working with people, and are committed to supporting individuals in their journey toward independence.
As a DSP, you will play a vital role in the lives of those we serve by providing compassionate, person-centered support. You will assist individuals in reaching their personal and developmental goals, which may include budgeting, nutrition planning, community involvement, and recreational activities. Your role extends beyond basic support to building strong, trusting relationships that serve as a foundation for growth and development. You will act as a mentor, advocate, and friend—helping individuals engage socially and participate actively in the community. This is a career where your ideas, dedication, and compassion are valued and rewarded.
Moreover, the role offers opportunities for professional growth and skill development in the human services and healthcare fields. We provide all necessary training, empowering you with the knowledge and tools to excel while you provide the care and compassion our clients deserve. This position also includes opportunities to administer medication, assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation and personal care, and support individuals during outings and events.
Joining REM Community Services means becoming part of a mission-driven team that is passionate about making a difference. We believe in rewarding our team members with competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, paid time off, holiday pay, and career advancement opportunities. Experience the fulfillment of a career well lived as you support individuals on their journeys to live fuller, more independent lives.
