REM Community Services is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join their team. This role is crucial in providing direct support and assistance to individuals receiving services, primarily in residential settings or periodic programs. Employees in this position are responsible for delivering personalized care, aiding in daily activities such as personal care, housekeeping, transportation, and community engagement. The role requires adherence to individual service or program plans with a focus on socialization, health maintenance, medication administration, and behavioral development. This position is non-exempt and offers both full-time and part-time hourly opportunities, with a competitive pay rate of $20.00 per hour. The schedule is structured to meet the needs of the program, including evening and weekend shifts. Responsibilities extend beyond direct care to include accurate documentation, managing individual assets within set budgets, maintaining professional relationships with families and case managers, and reporting incidents or concerns in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
