Job Description
REM Community Services, a proud part of the Sevita family, is dedicated to providing exceptional community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our organization embraces a mission-driven approach that values every person’s right to live well and to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. With over 50 years of experience in delivering specialized health care, Sevita has grown into a trusted leader across the United States, employing over 40,000 team members who support 50,000 individuals annually. At REM Community Services, we focus on creating an inclusive environment that motivates both our participants and staff, prioritizing relationships built on respect, trust, and care.
Sevita strongly believes a fulfilling career is fundamental for personal and professional growth. Joining our team as a caregiver means becoming a vital part of a compassionate community and contributing meaningfully every day. As a caregiver at Sevita, you will be proud to assist individuals as they grow, learn, and embrace their independence. This role involves developing genuine, meaningful relationships with the people you support and earning ownership and trust from leadership. You will be empowered to act in the best interest of participants by fostering an environment where they feel included in their communities and can enjoy activities aligned with their interests.
This position requires supporting individuals with their personal hygiene and developmental goals which may include budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and other areas that promote holistic well-being. Caregivers also assist participants who may face behavioral challenges or have complex needs, making patience, compassion, and resilience essential qualities for success in this role. If you find passion and fulfillment in helping others thrive and want to step into a career that truly makes a difference, Sevita offers a promising future with ample opportunities for growth and professional development.
Our compensation package is competitive and includes innovative benefits such as pay on demand, paid time off with holiday pay, and a comprehensive benefits plan for full-time employees including a 401(k) plan with a 3 percent company match. We invest heavily in the training and ongoing development of our caregivers to ensure they have the resources to succeed and enjoy long-term job security. Supervisors committed to your well-being foster a supportive environment where your contributions are recognized, and your career goals are prioritized.
Sevita is committed to equality and embraces diversity in the workplace. We operate as an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
