Job Description
ResCare Community Living, part of the Sevita family, stands as a committed provider of quality services dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Since its inception in 1974, this organization has been a beacon of support for people seeking a more independent life at home and within their community. With decades of experience and a passionate team of dedicated professionals, ResCare Community Living focuses entirely on person-centered services aimed at enhancing independence and helping individuals overcome challenges to realize their full potential.
Sevita, the parent company, has extended its influence as a leading provider of home and community-based specialized health care across the United States. Through its 40,000 team members, Sevita serves approximately 50,000 individuals nationwide, reflecting a profound commitment to improving lives regardless of physical, intellectual, or behavioral challenges. ResCare Community Living exemplifies this mission by ensuring that the support provided is not only professional but genuinely transformative, fostering meaningful relationships and personalized care plans.
The role of a caregiver at Sevita offers a unique opportunity to thrive in a deeply rewarding environment. With a starting pay rate of $9.00 per hour, caregivers are entrusted with responsibilities that extend beyond basic caregiving. You will develop authentic connections with those you serve, share in their personal growth, and support them in engaging with community activities that enhance their quality of life. The organization values initiative and trust, giving caregivers the autonomy to act in the best interests of participants. With the chance to assist clients in achieving developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, this role offers both challenges and profound satisfaction.
Beyond personal care duties, caregivers support individuals who may have behavioral challenges and complex needs, requiring compassion, patience, and resilience. If you find meaning in helping others live their best lives and enjoy a stable, supportive work environment, Sevita provides a promising career path. The company’s philosophy underscores that every person deserves a fulfilling career, and this extends to its employees through competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a strong support network. Full-time employees benefit from a robust benefits package, including a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, holiday pay, and continuous learning opportunities to enhance their professional growth.
Sevita prides itself on its culture of respect and inclusivity, fostering an environment free of discrimination and bias. As an equal opportunity employer, Sevita welcomes candidates from all backgrounds and ensures a workplace where every individual is treated with dignity and given the tools to succeed. Join Sevita and become part of an organization whose mission and values resonate deeply with those who want to make a real difference in the lives of others. Explore a career well lived, where your contribution directly impacts the wellbeing of individuals striving for independence and a better quality of life.
