Established in 1974, ResCare Community Living has a long-standing history of supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more autonomously in their homes and communities. Their approach is deeply person-centered, focusing on individualized services that enable people to build essential life skills, overcome personal challenges, and reach their full potential. With a committed team and experienced staff, they foster an environment where each person is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, emphasizing meaningful relationships and community integration.
The caregiving role at Sevita through ResCare Community Living is an opportunity to thrive in a rewarding career supporting people to grow, learn, and live well. Caregivers are entrusted with responsibilities that range from assisting with personal hygiene to helping participants engage in community activities and achieve developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. This role is ideal for individuals who are compassionate, patient, and motivated by a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of people with developmental disabilities and complex needs. Caregivers at Sevita experience a sense of ownership and trust from leadership, encouraging initiative and participation in enriching the lives of the individuals they serve.
Sevita places great importance on fostering a supportive work environment. Employees enjoy competitive pay at $24 per hour along with a pay-on-demand feature. Full-time employees benefit from a comprehensive package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with a 3% company match, paid time off, and holiday pay, which allows caregivers to recharge and bring their best selves to work. The company also prioritizes professional growth, offering ongoing training and development resources to help caregivers build a fulfilling and long-lasting career. Supervisors are committed not only to participant well-being but also to supporting the caregivers' personal and professional success.

With more than 40,000 team members, the organization has been innovating for over 50 years to enhance care for individuals facing physical, intellectual, or behavioral challenges.
