Job Description
Support Solutions is a dedicated organization committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. As a reputable provider of support services, the company focuses on empowering its clients to lead self-directed, fulfilling lives within their communities. By offering personalized assistance tailored to the unique needs and goals of each individual, Support Solutions ensures that those supported remain happy, healthy, and safe in environments that encourage independence and personal growth. The organizational philosophy centers on respect, dignity, and connection, fostering meaningful relationships and community integration for the people served. With a strong commitment to training, safety, and holistic support, Support Solutions maintains high standards for both clients and staff, promoting positive and rewarding interactions at all times.
The role available is that of a Support Staff member, responsible for delivering direct care and support to individuals with disabilities. This position offers a flexible work arrangement, available as either part-time or full-time, with weekly pay and a competitive sign-on bonus of $300 after completion of 90 days or 390 hours, along with completed training. The role includes paid orientation, paid holidays, and a comprehensive benefits package featuring PTO accrual, 401K benefits, health insurance, and life insurance.
In this role, the support staff will perform a wide variety of tasks aimed at improving clients' lives through personal care, skill development, and community involvement. Responsibilities include assisting with personal grooming, daily living routines, meal preparation, medication oversight, and safe transportation to appointments, job sites, and community events. Staff work closely with individuals to implement their Individual Support Plans (ISPs), which outline personalized goals and necessary supports, ensuring each person’s preferences and choices are respected to the greatest extent possible.
Support Solutions emphasizes a person-centered approach where staff are encouraged to use positive communication, respect the dignity of each individual, and facilitate connections to community activities and relationships. Employees are essential in fostering environments where clients feel empowered and included. This role also requires diligent documentation of services rendered, including use of electronic records systems, and adherence to all training requirements including CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) techniques if required.
The position demands physical capability to assist clients who may need transfer support, with lifting requirements exceeding 50 pounds. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and have automobile insurance if driving personal vehicles. The role may involve outdoor activities, working in community settings, and managing various environmental factors. Confidentiality and professionalism are paramount, as is the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently within a dynamic, sometimes interruptive, environment.
Overall, this position at Support Solutions offers the rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities, supporting their journey towards independence, safety, and enriched personal experiences.
