The organization prides itself on its dedication to creating opportunities for children, adults, and families, aiming to improve the well-being and quality of life within the communities it serves. With a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, People Incorporated fosters a welcoming and supportive work environment for employees of various backgrounds, including different races, religions, nationalities, genders, the LGBTQIA+ community, and people with disabilities. The company emphasizes continuous learning, mutual respect, and belonging to ensure every team member feels valued and heard. This approach has built a collaborative culture that nurtures both professional growth and personal fulfillment among its staff.

People Incorporated offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package that supports employee wellness and professional development. The salary for Direct Care Professionals starts at $20.00 per hour, increasing to $21.00 per hour after one year of benefit-eligible employment. Job locations include Mansfield, Taunton, Fall River, and other nearby communities, reflecting the agency’s commitment to serving a broad regional population.

The role of Direct Care Professional at People Incorporated is centered on providing compassionate and attentive support to adults with developmental disabilities residing in community-based residential programs. This position requires working within a team to assist individuals in managing daily activities and maintaining structured routines that foster independence, social integration, and overall well-being. The job is unique because no prior experience is needed; the company offers free, ongoing, on-the-job training, alongside professional development and career advancement opportunities, making it an ideal entry-level position for those interested in human services or related fields.

Direct Care Professionals engage with residents in a variety of supportive activities. These include facilitating individual community outings such as trips to the movies, shopping excursions, dining out, sports events, and bowling. Additionally, professionals assist with meal preparation, help with daily living tasks including personal care, accompany individuals to medical appointments, and support medication management. The role requires a compassionate, patient, and service-oriented attitude to ensure that every individual receives personalized attention and care tailored to their needs.

People Incorporated places significant emphasis on employee development, offering a range of programs like tuition assistance, reimbursement for CNA training and licensing, scholarship opportunities, degree completion incentives, and financial support for student loans. These programs reflect the organization’s investment in its employees' long-term career goals. Moreover, the agency provides robust health, dental, and vision insurance plans, flexible spending accounts, life and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and wellness initiatives designed to promote a healthy work-life balance.

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others while growing professionally within a supportive, creative, and rewarding environment. Candidates interested in nursing assistant, personal care assistant, or home health aide roles, as well as students studying human services, psychology, or sociology, are especially encouraged to apply. People Incorporated is committed to recognizing employee contributions through various recognition programs and fostering a workplace culture that thrives on collaboration and community involvement.
