The company operates in a highly regulated and dynamic pharmaceutical and biotech environment, focusing on developing cutting-edge therapies that address unmet medical needs. As part of the larger Servier Group, the company benefits from global expertise while maintaining a nimble and focused approach to U.S. market operations.
The Director, US Meetings & Congresses role at Servier represents a senior strategic and operational leadership position within the US Corporate Strategy, Development & Operations (CSDO) organization. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, US Inline & Business Operations, this role is accountable for the comprehensive planning, governance, and flawless execution of Servier’s U.S. meetings and congress activities. The position ensures that all events, including national meetings, launches, and congresses, are conducted with a consistent standard of excellence, compliance, and strategic alignment to optimize the impact for Commercial and Medical teams.
This leadership role requires a dynamic individual with profound expertise in meetings, events, and congress operations within the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors. The incumbent will be responsible for orchestrating all aspects of event execution, from operational planning and governance frameworks to detailed execution logistics and vendor management. The role calls for a collaborative leader who will work closely with various internal stakeholders such as U.S. leadership teams, Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Learning and Development, as well as cross-functional partners from compliance, legal, and procurement departments. The Director will be tasked with establishing scalable operating models, standardizing policies and procedures, and continuously driving operational excellence and innovation across all meetings and congresses.
Additional responsibilities include budget management, risk mitigation, vendor and agency oversight, and fostering cross-functional integration to ensure seamless execution. The Director will also lead a high-performing operational team and cultivate a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the meetings and congress planning function. The role requires managing complex event portfolios, ensuring compliance with healthcare professional engagement regulations, transparency reporting, and regulatory standards. The Director will also spearhead the implementation of innovative execution approaches such as hybrid meetings and digital engagement tools to enhance event impact.
Located in Boston, this hybrid position requires the Director to be present in the Seaport office at least three days a week and involves travel estimated at 30% to 40%. The role offers a competitive salary range of $188,000 to $227,000 annually, based on education, experience, and other factors. Additionally, the compensation package includes eligibility for short-term and long-term incentives, along with comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, flexible time off policies, 401(k), life and disability insurance, and employee recognition programs. Servier is dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace and encourages applications from passionate and innovative candidates regardless of background. The company is committed to providing equitable treatment and valuing the unique skills and experiences each applicant brings to the table.
