Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Dining Room Attendant to join our Food and Beverage team. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Supervisor, this role is essential in supporting the dining service team to deliver seamless and efficient guest experiences. The Dining Room Attendant will be responsible for supporting ownership, guests, and service staff through a variety of tasks, including opening and closing duties, maintaining cleanliness and safety, and assisting with food service. This position requires a team-oriented individual who can communicate clearly, manage guest interactions with courtesy, and uphold the club’s standards of etiquette and decorum.

The Dining Room Attendant acts as the backbone of the dining room operation, ensuring that all guests receive attentive and timely assistance. Responsibilities include greeting members and guests warmly, supporting servers by expediting food orders, clearing tables, and assisting in delivering food and beverages. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, and demonstrate the ability to take initiative to enhance guest satisfaction. This role demands professionalism in appearance and behavior, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized dining environment.

Moreover, the Dining Room Attendant must be capable of handling equipment safely and participating actively in team meetings and incentive programs. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to act in a support role for ownership, guests, and other service staff
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately with guests and co-workers
  • Must be self motivated and take initiative to improve guest related situations
  • Must maintain a clean and pressed uniform and proper behavior and appearance
  • Must be familiar with accepted standards of etiquette and decorum related to dining service
  • Must be able to spend several hours standing or walking
  • Must be able to complete opening and closing side work
  • Must be able to assist with serving meals, clearing tables, delivering food and drinks
  • Must be able to effectively use and maintain eye contact with guests

Job Qualifications

  • One year experience as a bus person or food runner in a similar environment or fine dining restaurant preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Act in a support role for ownership, guests, and other service staff
  • Complete opening and closing side work as determined by management
  • Carry out reasonable requests by management
  • Participate in departmental and inter-departmental meetings and incentive programs
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
