Job Description
The Village at Brookwood is a distinguished member of The Well-Spring Group based in Greensboro, North Carolina, a well-respected not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing superior aging-adult services. Located in Burlington, North Carolina, The Village at Brookwood offers a comprehensive range of senior care options including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. This continuum ensures that older adults of varied needs receive attentive and specialized care in a supportive environment that fosters dignity and quality of life.
As a part of The Well-Spring Group’s mission, The Village at Brookwood goes beyond traditional eldercare by creating experiences that not only meet but exceed the evolving expectations of a diverse population of seniors. With a focus on nurturing communities where older adults can thrive, the organization prides itself on delivering compassionate care within a vibrant living setting.
Currently, The Village at Brookwood is seeking part-time Dining Services Waitstaff to join their team for lunch and dinner shifts. These positions offer the opportunity to work up to 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling, including evening shifts Monday through Saturday from 4 pm to 8:30 pm, and Sunday shifts from 9 am to 3 pm. This makes the role suitable for candidates looking for part-time employment in a supportive atmosphere.
The role of Dining Services Waitstaff at The Village at Brookwood is pivotal in ensuring a high-quality dining experience for residents and guests. Waitstaff are responsible for taking food and drink orders, serving meals accurately, and having a thorough knowledge of the day’s menu including specials and desserts. Collaboration with management to address customer concerns and contribute to an exceptional dining atmosphere is a key aspect of the job.
In addition to table service, waitstaff assist with seating guests, clearing and resetting tables, and completing side work and restocking at the end of shifts. The role also includes light food preparation tasks such as plating salads and desserts. This position requires a team-oriented individual who can follow instructions well and maintain a strong customer service ethic. Flexibility to work a minimum of three shifts per week and adapt to varying days and times is essential for success.
The Village at Brookwood values its staff greatly, offering them a warm, family-like work environment. Employees enjoy the satisfaction that comes from meaningful work on a beautiful campus, alongside competitive compensation and a variety of benefits including deeply discounted employee meals and access to numerous discount programs. The organization is committed to ensuring a safe and supportive workplace, contingent on typical pre-employment screenings such as criminal background checks and drug screening.
This Dining Services Waitstaff position is ideal for personable, friendly individuals who are passionate about providing superior customer service and enriching the lives of older adults. Joining The Village at Brookwood means becoming part of a bigger mission: one dedicated to health care excellence, resident happiness, and a community-oriented work culture.
