The role of Utility Worker at Mennonite Village is an essential entry-level position within the dining services team. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy practical, hands-on tasks and want to be part of a team that supports the daily operations of a vibrant senior living community. In addition to dishwashing duties, Utility Workers assist with basic food preparation tasks, support proper food storage and inventory management following First In, First Out (FIFO) guidelines, and maintain sanitation logs and cleaning schedules to uphold rigorous food safety standards.
This position also involves physical activities such as sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and performing routine and deep cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary and safe kitchen environment. Utility Workers support meal delivery and other team operations as needed, contributing to a smooth and efficient dining service experience. Safety procedures related to food handling, infection control, and workplace safety are strictly followed to protect both residents and staff.
Mennonite Village offers competitive pay ranging from $16.00 to $20.75 per hour, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off including vacation and holidays, retirement savings plans with company contributions or matching, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for professional development through training, certifications, and conferences. Employees also enjoy wellness initiatives, recognition programs, and team celebrations that foster a positive and inclusive culture.
