The hospital emphasizes quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, creating a supportive environment for both employees and patients alike. Its Dining Services department plays a crucial role in enhancing the hospital experience by ensuring nutritious, timely, and high-quality meal services are available to patients, visitors, and staff throughout the facility.

The Dining Services Supervisor position at Bell Hospital is a full-time opportunity within the Product dining team, specifically on the mid-shift from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with alternating weekends off. This role focuses on overseeing daily operations across various food service units including onsite cafeterias, cafés, coffee shops, and patient room service. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining safety standards, ensuring quality food preparation and presentation, managing inventory, and delivering outstanding customer service. This leadership role requires the individual to coordinate team activities, manage staff schedules, and uphold compliance with all food safety regulations. Through effective supervision and coaching, the Dining Services Supervisor fosters employee engagement and ensures that all food service operations align with the hospital’s standards and goals.

This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food service management in a healthcare setting and who thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments. The supervisor must be proficient in overseeing various food service areas such as inventory control, cold food preparation, cooking, plating, and room service. Additionally, this position demands strong communication skills, both for managing a team and collaborating with customers and other departments. The Dining Services Supervisor must also be capable of implementing service recovery efforts when necessary, ensuring a positive dining experience for all hospital patrons.

Emphasizing continuous improvement, the role includes participation in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of staff members. The supervisor plays a critical part in maintaining documentation related to food and supplies usage, ensuring the unit operates efficiently and within budget. Cross-training opportunities within the department encourage a well-rounded understanding of all dining service operations, enhancing the supervisor’s ability to support and cover multiple functions as needed.

Bell Hospital is committed to equal employment opportunities and fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace. The hospital supports employees by providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and upholding fair hiring and employment practices.
