Job Requirements

  • Three years of full-time experience as a manager, chef, or sous chef in large-scale commercial food service
  • three years of experience supervising or leading others including assignments, evaluations, and disciplinary actions
  • ability to obtain Food Handler Permit and OLCC Service Permit
  • willingness to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to handle typical food service work conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary skills and understanding of commercial kitchen operations
  • experience with teamwork and customer service in food service settings
  • ability to prepare reports, budgets, and related documentation
  • commitment to working effectively with diverse populations
  • experience supervising staff in large-scale food service operations

Job Duties

  • Manage daily operations of assigned dining venues
  • allocate staff and schedule shifts effectively
  • oversee meal preparation and food supply ordering
  • direct menu planning and enforce service standards
  • ensure compliance with food safety procedures
  • supervise classified and student staff
  • handle budget responsibilities including purchasing and personnel management
