Touchmark is currently hosting a Dining Services Hiring Event in Portland, OR, targeting talented and motivated individuals interested in joining their culinary and hospitality teams. The event will provide opportunities for candidates to meet the team, tour the kitchen and dining facilities, and participate in on-the-spot interviews for Line Cook and Server positions. Job Requirements

  • Commitment to Touchmark’s values: excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and stay on feet for extended periods
  • Line cook experience of at least one year in a high-volume kitchen
  • Willingness to work weekends and occasional holidays
  • Availability to attend the hiring event or interview on site
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in a high-volume kitchen for line cooks
  • Sauté, grill, pasta, and fish experience preferred for line cooks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for servers
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate reliability
  • Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to the values of excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion

Job Duties

  • Prepare and plate meals with fresh, high-quality ingredients
  • Exercise creativity and maintain the gold standard in presentation
  • Educate residents and team members about healthy food options
  • Support both day and evening service with consistency and care
  • Greet residents and guests by name to create a welcoming experience
  • Take orders, answer menu questions, and serve meals and beverages
  • Ensure the dining room is clean, attractive, and running smoothly
  • Provide excellent hospitality during daily meals and special events
