We are currently seeking a dedicated and personable Dining Services Attendant to join our team on a part-time basis, working from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This role is vital in supporting the dining operations at Carmel Valley Manor, ensuring a seamless and delightful dining experience for all residents and guests. The Dining Services Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in dining and kitchen areas, delivering courteous service, and assisting with meal preparation and service duties as outlined by the Dining Services Manager. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $21.00 and includes opportunities to engage in a supportive work environment with potential for career growth.
The ideal candidate for this position should have at least six months of experience in food service and possess strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. Working in a fast-paced setting, they will be expected to manage the assembly of medical center trays in compliance with state regulations, supervise tray line operations when necessary, and safely operate dining service carts after completing a probation period and training. Additionally, this role includes responsibilities such as assuming bartender duties following appropriate training and contributing to various dining room assignments, including Hillcrest and employee dining areas.
Carmel Valley Manor emphasizes safety and professionalism; therefore, the Dining Services Attendant must adhere to strict hygiene protocols, use safety equipment properly, and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the community. The role demands flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, alongside excellent communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems and Point Click Care (PCC) software is preferred to streamline dining operations effectively.

Job Duties
- Perform duties as assigned by the Dining Services Manager such as serving meals, preparing meal trays, bussing tables, cleaning kitchen and dining areas
- assist in assembly of Medical Center trays in compliance with Title 22 regulations
- supervise Medical Center tray line and act as tray line supervisor in their absence
- operate food delivery cart after probation and training while following safety and driving guidelines
- assume bartender responsibilities after training and probation period
- work assigned shifts in Hillcrest and employee dining rooms
- use equipment safely and follow all safety procedures
- maintain high personal hygiene standards including proper hand washing, wearing hairnets or hats, and industry non-slip shoes
- conduct self professionally representing Carmel Valley Manor
