The Dining Services Associate role at Cafe Nova is a critical position within Villanova’s Dining Services Operations department. This full-time, nine-month staff position located in Villanova, PA, focuses on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety in all dining operations. The associate is responsible for both front-of-house and back-of-house duties, including receiving and stocking products. This position offers an hourly wage starting at $17.50, with shift differentials for qualifying shifts, making it a competitive role within the dining services sector. Job Duties
- Scrapes, cleans, sanitizes, and replenishes all dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, pots, and pans
- properly stores all clean items
- operates dish machine or pot machine and records proper temperatures and chemical sanitizer levels
- loads and unloads dish machine
- disposes of food waste and trash in front and back of house
- sweeps and mops all floors and walk-in refrigerators
- separates recycling from trash
- assists in receiving, storing, transporting, and stocking food and nonfood items
- assists in transporting supplies from storage to work areas
- fills juices, milk, and soda machines
- assists on serving lines or back of house prep work as needed
- acts as a runner to replenish food supplies
- communicates with cooks about food amounts
- works special events and weekends as required
- performs additional duties and assists with special projects as assigned
