Job Requirements

Must be 18 years or older or have a proper work permit and authorization documentation
Must complete required background clearances, health screening, and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment
Basic counting skills as required by the position
Must meet and maintain all state-specific regulatory requirements such as Food Handler Certification
Must be mobile and able to perform physical requirements including standing for prolonged periods, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, pulling, reaching overhead, and repetitive motion
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push up to 250 pounds as necessary
Must have excellent communication skills including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English
Must be able to operate standard serving equipment like salad bar, heating cart, trays
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, guests, vendors, and the public
Must meet and maintain all state-specific regulatory requirements such as Food Handler Certification

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) highly preferred
Exposure to restaurant operations or the ability to learn
Excellent communication skills including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English
Ability to operate standard serving equipment such as salad bar, heating cart, trays, etc.
Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, guests, vendors, and the public
Food Handler Certification or ability to meet state-specific regulatory requirements

Job Duties

Deliver exceptional dining service by taking accurate food orders and serving appetizing and visually appealing meals to residents, family members, and guests in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner
Uphold a high standard of table etiquette by serving from the left, clearing dishes between courses, and resetting tables for subsequent service to ensure complete customer satisfaction
Engage with residents in a friendly and courteous manner, assisting with their meal and menu selections, and attending to their dining needs, as necessary or requested
Review and adhere to residents' dietary needs, restrictions, and preferences as outlined by the Supervisor and in their care plan
Track resident meal attendance and communicate with the designated team members in a timely manner for a safety check on absent residents
Create a welcoming atmosphere by ensuring all residents are properly and promptly greeted and seated, with special attention given to integrating new residents
Deliver meals to and retrieve trays from residents' rooms after meal service, as required, for those who opt for room service
