The Server role within Benchmark Senior Living’s Dining Services department plays a crucial part in delivering quality food and beverage service to residents. Reporting directly to the Dining Room Manager, this position is non-exempt and offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated team focused on meeting the nutritional needs of a senior population. The Server is responsible for assisting residents with meal selection, serving food and beverages promptly and courteously, and maintaining clean and safe dining areas. This role demands excellent communication skills, attention to safety and infection control standards, and the ability to handle physical tasks like lifting, carrying, and positioning within an active dining environment.

The Server will be engaged in all aspects of meal service, from setting up dining rooms before meals to delivering food carts and trays. Effective cooperation with kitchen staff and supervisors is vital to ensure inventory is maintained and that residents’ dietary preferences or restrictions are respected. Additionally, the Server contributes to the overall cleanliness and organization of the dining service areas by assisting with cleaning duties, waste disposal, and equipment maintenance.
