The role of Dining Services Server at Covenant Living is an integral part of ensuring that residents and guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional dining service. This position is centered around delivering exceptional hospitality during meal times in the dining room, bistro, and at a variety of special events and meetings. Servers are responsible for a blend of duties that include serving food, waiting on tables, bussing and resetting tables, and assisting with light food preparation activities such as preparing salad bar items and desserts. Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Current food handler's permit
- Training in Servsafe is beneficial
- One year of food service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
- Dependability and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
- Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to maintain a neat appearance and comply with dress code

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assist in food preparation, hospitality duties, and meal service including serving food, waiting tables, and bussing tables
- Serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals to residents, guests, and staff in the dining room or bistro
- Bus and reset tables as needed
- Prepare salad bar items for lunch and fill salad bar with ice, gathering plates and bowls as necessary
- Prepare and stage desserts
- Perform light food preparation for special events
- Assist in setting up for meetings or other special events, including delivery of snacks, coffee, tea, etc.
- Follow all sanitation guidelines, federal and state regulations, and senior living healthcare requirements
- Maintain cleanliness of prep items and follow cleaning schedules
- Open and close dining rooms as needed
