The company is currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team as Servers in the community restaurant within their senior living environment. This role is integral to delivering outstanding dining experiences for senior residents by providing friendly, professional, and efficient service. As a Server, you will be responsible for meeting the dietary needs and preferences of residents while fostering a warm, inclusive, and welcoming dining atmosphere. This position not only involves food service duties but also offers the unique opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents, enriching their daily lives.
In this role, the Server will interact directly with residents and guests, ensuring that every meal and special dining event is a positive experience. Key responsibilities include greeting residents warmly, taking accurate meal orders, serving food and beverages promptly, and adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences. The Server also prepares the dining area before service, maintains cleanliness throughout, and supports the kitchen staff by communicating resident feedback. The position requires adherence to all food safety, sanitation guidelines, and compliance with local health regulations, ensuring a safe dining environment.

Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
- Food Handler Card with an understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes is a plus
- At least 6-12 months of experience in a serving, hospitality, or customer service role is a plus
- Previous experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Greet residents and guests warmly, creating a positive dining atmosphere
- Take meal orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptly
- Ensure meals are served in accordance with residents’ dietary requirements and preferences, including portion sizes and special requests
- Ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all residents, serving food and beverages with a smile
- Prepare the dining room before each meal service by setting tables with linens, utensils, and glassware
- Clear tables promptly after meals, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Reset tables for the next meal service
- Communicate resident feedback and requests to the Culinary Director or kitchen staff
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food and beverages
- Ensure compliance with local health department regulations and Cogir senior living standards
