Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Background check required
- Ability to obtain Food Card within 10 days of hire
- Availability to work 16 hours per week Monday through Thursday 9am-1pm
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and meal assistance tasks
- Sensitivity to seniors and persons with disabilities
Job Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language
- Ability to follow verbal or written instructions
- Experience with food preparation and serving preferred
- Sensitivity to seniors and persons with disabilities
- Ability to maintain composure under stress
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with other staff
- Must obtain Food Card within 10 days of hire
Job Duties
- Prepare the dining room for the noon meal including vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, setting tables, and preparing beverages
- Assist in serving meals to seniors
- Assist in packing home-delivered meals
- Maintain a sanitary dining area and kitchen
- Follow food safety guidelines
- Communicate effectively with senior clients and staff
- Maintain client confidentiality
