Job Description
Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a distinguished senior living company that has been committed to providing exceptional lifestyle experiences for seniors across the nation. With over 60 resort-style communities, RLC focuses on creating welcoming and vibrant environments where residents can thrive and enjoy their golden years. The company’s close-knit, servant-hearted culture is built on core values such as Respect, Honesty, Kindness & Compassion, and Service Excellence. These values not only guide the company’s approach to senior care but also foster a positive workplace culture that enhances job satisfaction and resident happiness. RLC is a fast-growing, family-owned business, well-regarded for its supportive leadership and dedication to cultivating meaningful connections within its communities. The organization’s vision centers around achieving four essential goals: Happy Employees, Happy Residents, Full Occupancy, and On-Budget Operations, all of which contribute to its continued success.
The Dining Room Supervisor role at RLC is a critical leadership position that focuses on ensuring an exceptional dining experience for senior residents and guests. This role is more than managing meal service; it is about creating moments of meaningful connection through outstanding hospitality. The Dining Room Supervisor acts as an active lead server during meal periods, overseeing the dining room environment and the server team to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and service quality. As a key member of the community leadership team, the supervisor contributes to the overall culture, operations, and resident experience within the community. This is a full-time position with a primary work schedule from Monday to Friday, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, although flexibility is required to cover events and holidays as needed.
Ideal candidates will be at least 21 years old and have previous service leadership experience, along with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Excel and Outlook. Candidates must either hold a ServSafe® Manager food safety certification or be willing to obtain it within 90 days of hire. Additionally, a Food Handlers permit is required, which must be secured within two weeks of hiring depending on local regulations. The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, and coaching servers ensuring alignment with the RLC labor model. The supervisor must also ensure dining room cleanliness and organization are maintained according to RLC guidelines, monitor inventory freshness, and assign duties appropriately to the server team. Leadership extends to welcoming new residents with warmth, supporting room service operations, and participating in community meetings to align dining services with resident needs and community goals.
This role offers competitive compensation and a robust benefits package including a $341 benefit stipend per pay period to use towards health, dental, and vision options, life insurance, disability coverage, and other plans such as HSA, FSA, LSA, accident and hospital indemnity, as well as legal and identity theft protection. Paid time off and a 401(k) plan with employer match further enhance the total rewards for this position. Working at RLC provides an opportunity to lead with heart in a purpose-driven environment where the impact on residents’ lives is meaningful and tangible. Candidates passionate about serving seniors and driving hospitality excellence in a supportive, resort-style atmosphere are encouraged to apply. RLC is committed to equal opportunity employment and welcomes applicants who share their dedication to servant leadership and community well-being.
