Job Description
Cascade Living is a dedicated organization focused on enhancing the quality of life for both its residents and employees through a culture of wellness and purposeful living. Renowned for its commitment to care and community, Cascade Living operates a variety of senior living communities including assisted living and memory care facilities. The organization stands out with its heartfelt mission captured in its motto: 'The Difference Between Living and Living Well...,' emphasizing an enriched living experience beyond the basics. One of its key communities, Sierra Del Sol, serves seniors across multiple Arizona locations such as Green Valley, Sahuarita, Vail, Nogales, Sierra Vista, and Benson. Sierra Del Sol is designed to provide compassionate care and supportive services to elders and their families, ensuring a harmonious environment that promotes dignity and respect.
As a Dining Room Supervisor at Sierra Del Sol, you will take on a pivotal role in managing and elevating the dining experience for residents. This full-time position is rooted in leadership within one of the most vital areas of the community: food service. Working hours are scheduled from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm, including weekends, reflecting the round-the-clock attention required to maintain high standards. The role offers a competitive wage ranging between $16.00 and $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Your responsibilities will include overseeing all front-of-the-house activities in multiple dining venues which include the main dining room, private rooms, assisted living and memory care dining areas, as well as room service and banquet coordination.
In this supervisory role, you will be entrusted with ensuring that every meal service achieves 5-star quality in accordance with Cascade Living Group's policies and procedures. This involves leading and directing staff, managing dining room service logistics, and fostering a welcoming, safe, and comfortable atmosphere for residents. Your duties extend to training and mentoring staff, managing inventories, enforcing safety and sanitation standards, and working closely with other departments to facilitate seamless banquet and meal functions. With compassion and efficiency, you will act as the liaison for residents, families, and vendors, guaranteeing exceptional customer service and an environment where residents feel valued and cared for.
Candidates who thrive in this role typically bring a minimum of three years experience in a similar capacity, preferably as a Maitre D' or lead waiter with strong knowledge of hospitality industry standards and culinary terminology. Certifications such as a Food Workers Card or ServSafe are required to meet health and safety regulations. Personal attributes essential for success include excellent communication skills, organizational capability, leadership in team development, and a genuine passion for working with the elderly. The Dining Room Supervisor will not only uphold but continuously enhance dining service excellence, contributing to the holistic well-being and satisfaction of the community members. Cascade Living provides a supportive work environment that encourages career growth, offers competitive benefits, and embraces diversity and inclusion, ensuring a rewarding professional experience for its team members.
