The role of the Dining Room Supervisor is a critical position within the Food & Beverage department of Garden of the Gods Resort and Club. The individual in this role supports the Food & Beverage Operations Manager, the Restaurants Manager, and the Director of Food & Beverage by overseeing restaurant operations, ensuring that the highest standards of service and efficiency are maintained. This position requires a versatile leader who can effectively manage staff, uphold food quality, and maintain compliance with state liquor laws. Responsiveness to the needs of guests and team members is paramount, as is the ability to foster an atmosphere that is both pleasant and efficient. The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible not only for day-to-day operations but also for assisting with staff hiring, training, payroll monitoring, inventory control, and customer service excellence. They are expected to lead by example, delivering “I Am Proud” service standards and embodying the resort’s values and vision throughout their interactions.

This role involves diverse responsibilities including scheduling staff based on occupancy levels, reviewing event orders, programming menus, and supporting the hostess/host with guest seating. The supervisor engages actively in daily team communications, including line-ups and enrichment sessions, ensuring the team stays informed and motivated. Strong communication skills, quick decision making in high-pressure situations, and an in-depth understanding of food and beverage service protocols are crucial for success. The Dining Room Supervisor must also uphold safety and sanitation standards and remain current with culinary and beverage industry trends. Flexibility to work various shifts and an ability to collaborate across departments enhance operational harmony and guest satisfaction. This position emphasizes proactive problem-solving, exceptional guest relations, and sustaining a conducive work environment for all team members.

Job Requirements

  • Three years restaurant experience
  • One year supervisory experience
  • Serve Safe certification
  • Food Handlers Certificate
  • Proficiency in computer skills including excel
  • Ability to make quick decisions in high stress situations

Job Duties

  • Oversee operations along with and in the absence of the Manager or Assistant Manager
  • Maintain knowledge of, abide by, and enforce Colorado liquor laws
  • Ensure the atmosphere and cleanliness of restaurant, furnishings, and workstations
  • Provide a pleasant and efficient atmosphere for staff, members, and guests
  • Monitor food quality and service level
  • Assist with hiring, training, testing, and maintaining updated training manuals
  • Assist with monitoring payroll and revenue daily
