Sodexo is a global leader in quality of life services, dedicated to creating a better everyday for everyone by improving the quality of life for employees, customers, and communities alike. Operating across multiple sectors including food service, facilities management, and integrated solutions, Sodexo partners with various organizations to provide essential services that enhance daily experiences in workplace environments, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and public venues. Their commitment to sustainability, diversity, inclusion, and community progress highlights their role not just as a service provider but as a positive contributor to economic and social development worldwide.
The University of Northern Colorado has partnered with Sodexo to manage dining services and they are currently hiring for a full-time Dining Room Supervisor position. This opportunity offers a competitive pay range of $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, with varying shifts requiring open availability, primarily covering different days and hours. The role is pivotal within the food operations at the university’s dining facilities, which include a variety of service styles such as fast casual, coffee/counter service, cafeterias, banquets, casual dining, and cafes.
As a Dining Room Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the service team under the guidance of management. This position demands strong leadership and multitasking abilities as you ensure not only smooth operational flow but also a high level of quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include supporting management by supervising the workforce, maintaining a safe working environment, facilitating employee orientation and training programs, and handling customer relations to resolve any issues promptly.
The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and committed to fostering a healthy and safe workplace. Experience in similar roles, especially supervisory positions, is highly preferred, though a minimum of one year in related work environments is required. The position places a strong emphasis on collaboration and communication, as well as proactive problem-solving to maintain excellent service standards.
Sodexo emphasizes flexibility and support for its employees, offering opportunities for ongoing training, professional development, and career advancement. Benefit packages are comprehensive, including paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) plans, discount programs, and more. Some locations might offer additional perks such as free meals during shifts, uniforms, safety shoes, transportation allowances, and parking assistance.
Working at Sodexo means being part of a company that values diversity, inclusion, and fairness, where employees are respected and encouraged to bring their full selves to work. The company fosters a culture of belonging, where diverse perspectives are welcomed and all employees have a voice. Sodexo is committed to equal employment opportunities for all individuals, regardless of any legally protected characteristic.
This role is an excellent fit for individuals passionate about food service management and leadership, eager to contribute to a positive customer experience while growing their career in a supportive and values-driven environment. The position requires reliability, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic setting. As part of Sodexo’s team at the University of Northern Colorado, you will have the opportunity to impact daily operations meaningfully and build lasting relationships with both colleagues and customers, embodying Sodexo’s mission to create a better everyday for everyone.
