Job Description
Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a leading, fast-growing, family-owned company that operates over 60 resort-style senior living communities across the United States. RLC is dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors by providing exceptional living experiences in beautiful, supportive environments that feel like home. The company’s mission is grounded in core values of Respect, Honesty, Kindness & Compassion, and Service Excellence, which guides every action, interaction, and decision within its communities. RLC focuses on four essential goals: happy employees, happy residents, full occupancy, and on-budget operations, ensuring a balanced approach to both employee satisfaction and exceptional resident care.
At Resort Lifestyle Communities, serving seniors is not just a job; it is a calling and an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of others every day. By joining RLC, employees become part of a close-knit, servant-hearted community that emphasizes teamwork, respect, and compassion. This environment fosters both personal and professional growth, allowing team members to thrive in their roles while contributing to a greater purpose.
The Dining Room Supervisor role at RLC is a leadership position that offers an active and hands-on opportunity to shape the dining experience for residents and guests. As the direct lead server during meal periods, you will play a critical part in ensuring that each meal is not merely about serving food but creating moments of genuine connection and enjoyment. This position is part of the community leadership team, meaning the Dining Room Supervisor collaborates closely with Community Managers, Executive Chefs, and other leadership to maintain high standards in dining quality, cleanliness, and service excellence.
In this role, the Dining Room Supervisor will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, and training servers, supporting their ongoing development and ensuring their schedules align with the RLC labor model. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining room, Chef's Pantry, and Bistro is also a vital part of the role, as is monitoring supplies and presentation standards to uphold health and safety regulations. This supervisor will lead dining service during meal periods, personally welcome new residents, participate in community leadership meetings, and help coordinate resident events and business objectives.
This position requires flexibility with a primary schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with additional hours for events and holidays. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have prior service leadership experience preferred. Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Outlook, are required, along with ServSafe Manager food safety certification within 90 days of hire and a Food Handlers permit within two weeks (or as locally required).
