The organization values servant-leadership and aims to elevate the lives of its resident-heroes through attentive service and heartfelt care. As a leader in the senior living industry, MorningStar offers a variety of services focused on health, well-being, and social engagement, making it a beloved home away from home for many seniors.

The Dining Room Server position at MorningStar Senior Living is available for both full-time and part-time employment, with a competitive pay rate of $17.00 per hour. This role is essential to maintaining a warm and welcoming dining environment that enhances the daily lives of the residents. The schedule is flexible and will be discussed during the interview process at the community, allowing for accommodations to meet both the needs of the business and the server’s availability.

In this role, the Dining Room Server is responsible for delivering high-quality meal services along with facilitating an atmosphere of grace and courtesy within the dining area. Servers are tasked with accurately communicating and taking meal orders, ensuring timely and precise delivery to kitchen staff. Exceptional customer service skills are crucial, as the position involves regular and meaningful interactions with cherished residents. Servers learn individual resident preferences, dietary requirements, and specific requests, offering personalized care and attention.

Beyond the immediate duties of meal service, the role also includes oversight of bistro areas, maintaining cleanliness, proper food presentation, stock management, and assisting with special functions. The position demands a strong commitment to hygiene, safety standards, and infection control measures. Servers participate proactively in community quality assurance committees and are required to attend all assigned training sessions to uphold the highest level of service.

Working at MorningStar Senior Living means joining a team that genuinely values love, kindness, honesty, goodness, fairness, and respect. The culture is built on these core values, fostering an environment where staff feel motivated to do work that genuinely matters. The company also supports its employees through extensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and accident insurance options, 401k with matching, and career development programs. Paid sick, vacation, and birthday leave are also part of the benefits package.

If you are someone who is compassionate, attentive, and motivated to contribute positively to the lives of seniors while growing within a supportive community, the Dining Room Server position at MorningStar Senior Living offers a rewarding career path. This role is not only about serving meals but about serving people — providing care, companionship, and a smile in a setting that values you as much as it does its residents.
