Job Description

The Cambridge Homes is a distinguished senior living residence located at 360 Mount Auburn in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Renowned for its commitment to superior service and compassionate care, the establishment offers a warm, safe, and home-like environment tailored specifically for senior residents. The organization has earned prestigious recognition, being ranked number one in The Boston Globe's 2024 List of Top Places to Work and securing the 35th position nationwide by USA Today. Such accolades underscore their dedication not only to their residents but also to fostering an excellent workplace culture for their associates. The Cambridge Homes' dining team exemplifies this ethos by providing gourmet dining experiences coupled with exceptional customer service.

As a Dining Room Server at The Cambridge Homes, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the daily lives of senior residents through attentive, personalized dining service. Working as a part of a caring and compassionate team, you will be responsible for greeting residents and guests warmly during meal times, taking individual orders from a selective menu, and ensuring the dining environment is clean and inviting. Serving in a Per Diem capacity, your role includes setting up tables for meals, clearing and resetting tables efficiently to maintain meal flow. Starting pay rates begin at $20.32 per hour, reflecting the importance of this position.

This role offers more than just a paycheck; it provides a supportive work environment where the contributions of each associate are valued. Associates at The Cambridge Homes benefit from a comprehensive standard benefits program commencing on day one of employment. This includes paid time off, holiday pay, health, dental and vision insurance, disability coverage, complimentary life insurance, and access to a pre-tax retirement savings plan with a company match. Further enriching the work experience are Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives that encourage associates to voice ideas and foster an inclusive culture.

The Cambridge Homes recognizes the importance of ongoing professional development. Dining Room Servers have access to extensive education programs, including opportunities to become Certified Dementia Practitioners, enhancing their skills in serving senior residents with specialized needs. Additional perks include commuter benefits that facilitate travel savings, free meals during scheduled shifts, and various retail discounts spanning cellphone plans, pet and home insurance, car rentals, and entertainment options.

Working as a Dining Room Server here means joining a team dedicated to making every dining occasion special for senior residents. This role requires a commitment to punctuality, reliability, and effective communication, ensuring that the residents' needs are met consistently and with respect. The team environment is dynamic, engaging, and rewarding, providing associates with a sense of accomplishment and belonging.
