The Dining Room Server position plays a crucial role within the Culinary department at American House Senior Living Communities. Dedicated to enhancing the dining experience for their residents, Dining Room Servers provide exceptional customer service by presenting delicious food and building personal connections with residents. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about hospitality and community care, regardless of their prior experience—training is provided to develop essential skills. As a Dining Room Server, you will have the opportunity to interact closely with residents, understanding their wishes and dietary needs while contributing to a warm, welcoming dining environment. The hourly wage for this role ranges from $15.00 to $17.00, depending on experience, with flexible schedules and excellent work hours to accommodate various lifestyles.

Responsibilities include taking and serving meal orders, setting up dining areas, cleaning, and assisting with meal and beverage preparation. Job Requirements

Minimum 16 years of age

Job Qualifications

Desire to impact others’ lives through excellent customer service
ambition to develop relationships with our residents
minimum 16 years of age
experience working with seniors is preferred
previous customer service experience is preferred
2-3 years of experience working in a commercial restaurant or club is preferred

Job Duties

Providing our residents with the highest quality of customer service
responsible for communicating, interacting with, and observing our residents
responsible for taking resident’s orders and serving resident meals and beverages
set up and decoration of the dining room tables for mealtimes
cleaning and sanitizing of the dining room, menus, kitchen, side-stations, and other areas as directed
assisting with the preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service
transports used dishes, waste, refuse and used linen to collection areas
follows and completes daily task assignments, ensuring all work is completed properly
notes refrigeration temperatures
learns and retains residents names, special requests, and dietary restrictions
assists with all special events and catering functions in a variety of areas throughout the community
assists with plating and delivery of meals to remote locations or resident’s rooms if requested
other duties as assigned by Culinary Director or Executive Director
