Responsibilities include serving meals and beverages, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. This position requires a strong customer service mindset, as team members must interact with residents thoughtfully and attentively, knowing their preferences and addressing their needs respectfully. The successful candidate will be proficient in using the Dial-designated point of sale system to take and close meal orders, contributing to efficient dining service management. Setting and resetting tables for upcoming and subsequent meals is part of daily duties, alongside informing residents about available menu options. The ideal candidate will ensure water glasses, coffee cups, and carafes remain filled and assist in clearing and cleaning tables promptly during and after meals. Maintaining confidentiality regarding resident information and community operations is paramount. Employees must report any on-the-job injuries immediately to their supervisor. This role is ideal for individuals aged 16 or older who have a patient, customer-focused attitude, and are willing to learn kitchen appliance operation or already have basic knowledge. Physical stamina is necessary, as the job requires standing, walking, and moving for 3 to 3.75 hours per shift. Preferred candidates will have a willingness to learn, enjoy working with older adults, and possess some experience in food service. Job Duties
- Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist residents throughout all aspects of the dining experience
- Take all orders and close out orders within the Dial designated point of sale system
- Provide customer service to residents to allow high level of resident satisfaction while serving meals
- Set tables for upcoming meals and reset for the following meal
- Inform residents what foods are available on the day's menu
- Address residents by name and their food beverage likes and dislikes
- Prepare beverages before meals and serve beverage of choice to each resident
- Keep water glasses and coffee cups and/or carafes filled
- Clear tables, as needed, throughout meal and bus tables after the meal is finished
- Vacuum carpet in the dining room after each meal
- Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel
- Report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs
- Other duties as assigned
