The role available at Dial centers around assisting with meal and beverage service, ensuring that residents enjoy a satisfying dining experience. This position involves direct interaction with residents, taking meal orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. It offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the comfort and happiness of seniors while working within a supportive team environment. This is a part-time position where shifts typically last between 3 to 3.75 hours, requiring standing, walking, and active movement throughout the shift.   • some experience in food service is preferred

Job Duties

  • Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist residents throughout all aspects of the dining experience
  • take all orders and close out orders within the Dial designated point of sale system
  • provide customer service to residents to allow high level of resident satisfaction while serving meals
  • set tables for upcoming meals and reset for the following meal
  • inform residents what foods are available on the day’s menu
  • address residents by name and their food beverage likes and dislikes
  • prepare beverages before meals and serve beverage of choice to each resident
  • keep water glasses and coffee cups and/or carafes filled
  • clear tables, as needed, throughout meal and bus tables after the meal is finished
  • vacuum carpet in the dining room after each meal
  • maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel
  • report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs
  • other duties as assigned
