The available position involves assisting in the dining services department, where employees serve meals and beverages, bus tables, and maintain cleanliness in the dining areas. This role is critical as it directly impacts the dining experience of residents, aiming to provide excellent customer service while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The perfect candidate will engage with residents by addressing them by name, taking their orders, and ensuring their preferences and needs are met with attentiveness and care. Responsibilities extend to using the Dial designated point-of-sale system for order management, assisting in table settings before and after meals, and maintaining the dining environment’s cleanliness, including vacuuming carpets after each meal.

Job Duties

  • Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist residents throughout all aspects of the dining experience
  • Take all orders and close out orders within the Dial designated point of sale system
  • Provide customer service to residents to allow high level of resident satisfaction while serving meals
  • Set tables for upcoming meals and reset for the following meal
  • Inform residents what foods are available on the day’s menu
  • Address residents by name and their food beverage likes and dislikes
  • Prepare beverages before meals and serve beverage of choice to each resident
  • Keep water glasses and coffee cups and/or carafes filled
  • Clear tables, as needed, throughout meal and bus tables after the meal is finished
  • Vacuum carpet in the dining room after each meal
  • Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel
  • Report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs
  • Other duties as assigned
