The responsibilities include serving meals and beverages, taking orders accurately using the designated point of sale system, assisting residents throughout their dining experience, setting and resetting tables for meals, and keeping the dining area clean and organized by bussing tables and vacuuming carpeted areas. The role also involves a high degree of personal interaction with residents, requiring team members to address residents by name and accommodate their food and beverage preferences to promote a personalized and pleasant dining atmosphere.

Team members in this role must maintain confidentiality regarding resident information and community operations while adhering to safety protocols by reporting any on-the-job injuries promptly. The work shifts typically range from 3 to 3.75 hours, involving standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit, underlining the physical nature of the position. Job Requirements

  • Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn

Job Duties

  • Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist residents throughout all aspects of the dining experience
  • Take all orders and close out orders within the Dial designated point of sale system
  • Provide customer service to residents to allow high level of resident satisfaction while serving meals
  • Set tables for upcoming meals and reset for the following meal
  • Inform residents what foods are available on the day’s menu
  • Address residents by name and their food beverage likes and dislikes
  • Prepare beverages before meals and serve beverage of choice to each resident
  • Keep water glasses and coffee cups and/or carafes filled
  • Clear tables, as needed, throughout meal and bus tables after the meal is finished
  • Vacuum carpet in the dining room after each meal
  • Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel
  • Report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs
  • Other duties as assigned
