We are currently seeking a full-time Dining Room Manager to join our team at Vitalia Rockside, located at 6140 Lombardo Center South, Seven Hills, OH 44131. This role offers a starting wage of $18 per hour and a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The Dining Room Manager plays a critical role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our residents by maintaining a pristine dining environment and delivering impeccable service. Scheduled to work Thursday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm, the successful candidate will embrace the core values of Arrow Senior Living and contribute to a warm, welcoming, and engaging atmosphere. Responsibilities go beyond managing service; you will engage with residents, foster social connections, and coordinate closely with wellness teams to monitor dietary needs.

The ideal Dining Room Manager is a proactive leader and excellent communicator with hospitality experience who understands the importance of preparation, tidiness, and resident engagement. This role requires an energetic and positive attitude, physical stamina to assist residents as needed, and the ability to ensure all food safety and regulatory standards are met. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents
  • Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency
  • Positive and energetic attitude who will love our residents
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall
  • Must be criminally cleared
  • Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks
  • Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six months prior to or seven days following employment
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents
  • Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency
  • Positive and energetic attitude with a genuine love for working with residents
  • Physical capability to perform standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to assist residents with mobility and fall recovery
  • Criminal background clearance
  • Good physical health verified by a physician including a pulmonary tuberculosis test

Job Duties

  • Ensure the dining room looks and stays perfect and the service residents receive is impeccable
  • Greet residents and make them feel welcome, be present in the dining room, mingle, entertain, and foster an environment where residents can connect
  • Prepare tables for service, salads for upcoming meals, roll silverware, and assist with other meal preparation tasks
  • Bussing tables and sweeping floors to maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area
  • Communicate with supervisors and wellness staff about residents' dietary habits, appetite changes, and meal absences
  • Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and post-fall support
  • Promote a positive dining environment that aligns with the core values of Arrow Senior Living
