The Dining Room Manager role at Belmont Village Senior Living is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing the total dining room operation within the on-site restaurant. This dynamic role entails managing the day-to-day activities of the dining room including hiring, supervising, and training restaurant servers to ensure exceptional food service and hospitality. The manager will directly engage in meal service, assist with special events, and oversee room service delivery as needed, ensuring every resident and guest enjoys an outstanding dining experience.
In addition to direct guest interaction, the Dining Room Manager will maintain the cleanliness and organization of dining spaces such as the Bistro and Dining Room, coordinate guest seating, and develop staff work schedules. This position requires a collaborative mindset to work alongside Sales and Marketing teams, Activities coordinators, and residents to execute special events that enhance community life.
The manager is also tasked with upholding strict health and safety protocols for food handling, storage, and dining area cleanliness, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Working closely with community leadership, regional teams, and corporate support, the Dining Room Manager will foster a positive workplace culture through consistent employee training on safety protocols and food handling, applying company policies fairly and consistently. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years dining supervisor experience in senior living restaurant hotel resort or comparable food service environment
- Knowledge of cleaning standards in a commercial food operation
- Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
- Ability to work flexible schedule as the needs of the dining program require
- Demonstrated successful use of technology in the workplace including MS Office and POS
- Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
