The Dining Room Manager role at Cogir Senior Living is integral to ensuring a superior dining experience within the community's restaurant. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handler Card or Serve Safe certification or ability to obtain
  • Minimum of four years full-cycle food service experience in an upscale dining environment
  • Preferred two years supervisory or front-of-house/dining room management experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handler Card or Serve Safe certification or ability to obtain
  • At least four years of full-cycle food service experience in an upscale dining environment
  • Two years of supervisory or front-of-house dining room management experience preferred
  • Previous experience in senior living is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Direct and manage all food and beverage staff for front-of-house operations
  • Ensure resident satisfaction through a top-notch dining experience
  • Provide initial and ongoing training for dining room staff, including servers and support personnel
  • Prepare weekly schedules, adjust for community events, and maintain budget controls
  • Monitor table assignments and seating arrangements to accommodate resident needs and preferences
  • Organize and oversee special dining events, holiday celebrations, and themed meals
  • Assist in maintaining inventory control of food, alcohol, supplies, and equipment
  • Monitor all food handling procedures and service flow
  • Order and manage inventory of dining room supplies, including linens, utensils, and tableware
  • Build strong relationships with residents, addressing feedback, concerns, or special requests
  • Provide a safe and comfortable work environment while adhering to all company policies and procedures
  • Cover shifts resulting from call-offs
  • Ensure compliance with local health department regulations and Cogir Senior Living standards
