Job Requirements

  • Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • satisfactory physical and mental health to perform job requirements
  • ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours with limited breaks
  • ability to carry up to 100 lbs without assistance
  • ability to exert up to 150 lbs of force
  • availability and willingness to work all scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays
  • capable of multi-tasking and communicating in English
  • reliable transportation
  • at least one year of restaurant service experience in a high-volume establishment
  • current local/state food handler's training certifications
  • current local/state alcohol beverage service training certifications
  • basic computer skills
  • high school diploma or GED preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Confidence, energy, and enthusiasm with a professional, clean appearance and friendly demeanor

  • ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation

  • at least one year of high-volume restaurant service experience
  • current local/state food handler's and alcohol beverage service training certifications
  • basic familiarity with computers, POS, calculators, and touch screens
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • some college or culinary education beneficial

Job Duties

  • Meet Lawry's standards as an ambassador of the restaurant with guests
  • comply with all employment policies including accurate records and communication
  • assist in timely introduction and delivery of meal service and guest satisfaction
  • greet and accommodate special guest needs professionally
  • thank guests and invite them to return
  • pre-bus and bus tables at appropriate times
  • unload dishes, silverware, and glassware
  • reset tables for new and private parties
  • restock side stations and remove linen bags when full
  • manage service across multiple servers and stations
  • communicate effectively in spoken and written English
  • demonstrate knowledge of Lawry's restaurants and menu
  • work cooperatively with co-workers and management
  • competently operate POS and TMX systems
  • maintain proper uniform and punctuality
  • perform cleaning and maintenance of dining and bar areas
  • attend mandatory meetings and training
