The Dining Room Attendant position at Desert Diamond Casino represents a key role in maintaining efficient and courteous food and beverage operations within a fast-paced casino setting. This full-time role is primarily based at the Desert Diamond Casino location in Glendale, AZ, offering starting pay ranging from $15.15 to $18.83 per hour. The Dining Room Attendant operates under the direct supervision of the Food & Beverage Supervisor and is tasked with multiple responsibilities to ensure exceptional guest experiences. Key functions of the role include greeting guests, anticipating their needs, and providing knowledgeable and professional food and beverage service. The attendant must maintain a positive and upbeat personality, work effectively as part of a team, and comply strictly with all applicable regulations including Arizona liquor laws and internal control procedures.

In this capacity, the Dining Room Attendant is charged with maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the dining area, overseeing restocking and upkeep of various work zones, and adhering to health and safety guidelines outlined by tribal, city, state, and federal authorities. The role also includes training new team members, fostering positive communication within the team, and ensuring consistent attendance and punctuality according to casino policies. Additional duties involve participation in daily restaurant operations in a cost and labor-effective manner, monitoring guests to prevent intoxication, and staying informed about casino promotions and discounts to assist guest inquiries effectively.

The successful candidate for the Dining Room Attendant position will demonstrate a high-energy, motivated persona along with strong knowledge of food service operations, guest service, and compliance with alcohol service laws. They must be capable of adhering to established service techniques and standards and be flexible to accommodate various assignments as directed by management. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • No felony, theft or stealing convictions
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
  • Ability to pass background investigation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license
  • Must have high energy and motivated personality
  • Knowledge of food and beverage regulations
  • Ability to follow instructions and work within a team
  • Ability to perform physical duties including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and irregular shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Recent experience in food service and point of sale cash handling preferred
  • Knowledge of dining and food maintenance operations
  • Knowledge of Arizona Title 4 liquor law
  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers card
  • Ability to obtain TIPS certification
  • Ability to communicate clearly in basic English
  • Demonstrated outstanding guest service skills
  • Ability to work in a stressful and fast-paced environment
