Dining Retail Manager

Tufts Dining is a self-operated and mission-driven dining organization serving the Medford/Somerville and SMFA/Fenway campuses of Tufts University. The role being offered is a leadership position responsible for managing multiple retail dining units within the university’s dining service operations. The position encompasses a wide array of responsibilities including financial accountability and staff management and development. This role demands a strong focus on maintaining high hospitality standards and ensuring guest satisfaction, while also engaging in marketing and promotional initiatives to enhance the dining experience. Program development is a key component, requiring the ability to lead multiple initiatives that support the ongoing growth and refinement of retail dining offerings.

This position involves providing strategic leadership and operational oversight with a specific emphasis on enhancing quality and efficiency. Core areas include guest service excellence, food production oversight, innovative menu development, and careful product selection to align with quality standards and consumer preferences. In addition, responsibilities extend to quality control, ensuring sanitation and housekeeping standards are met consistently. The role also oversees merchandising as well as marketing and promotional activities designed to boost engagement with the dining venues and drive customer satisfaction.
