This role is instrumental in driving sales and profitability by fostering a positive, efficient work environment and engaging with guests to maintain exceptional service standards. Offering a competitive salary of up to $56,000 per year based on experience and market demand, this position provides early closing hours with no late nights, enabling a healthy work-life balance. The role also offers flexible scheduling to accommodate individual needs and opportunities for career growth within the company.
As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supervising according to company policies and relevant laws, managing recruitment, interviewing, and training of new employees. You will assign tasks, evaluate employee performance, and promote a culture of success by coaching and mentoring team members. Creating a warm and inviting workplace that encourages staff excellence is a key aspect of the role, along with assisting team members in their duties as necessary. Driving sales through marketing initiatives and promoting suggestive selling techniques will help maximize table turnover and customer engagement. The position requires direct interaction with guests to address service or food quality issues, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
Operational responsibilities include maintaining efficiency and overseeing cost controls such as managing profit margins and controlling food and labor costs through effective scheduling. Maintaining high restaurant standards for food quality and cleanliness is essential. Financial duties encompass cash control, preparing financial reports, and managing inventory.
Working at Bob Evans also means benefiting from comprehensive health and welfare packages, a 401(k) plan with company match, and opportunities for professional development and advancement. The organization supports a collaborative work culture where communication skills, conflict resolution capabilities, and commitment to guest service are highly valued.
