Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • a minimum of two years of restaurant experience is preferred
  • must be detail oriented, accurate and possess good organizational abilities
  • ability to multi-task effectively
  • availability to work nights and weekends
  • excellent customer service skills
  • knowledge of point-of-sale systems is preferred

Job Duties

  • Presents a positive first impression of the establishment's friendliness, excellent service and high standards
  • greet incoming and departing guests warmly
  • escort them to assigned dining area
  • present menus
  • announce waiter's name
  • use OpenTable to seat with guests preference in mind
  • answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service: fill to-go orders, answer questions, take reservations, etc.
  • manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate and communicate with kitchen to provide updated business flow information
  • be observant to guests' needs and requests throughout dining experience to ensure they receive high quality service (i.e. notice a drink refill is needed while seating another guest) and notify staff of needs
  • assist in monitoring tables for upcoming reservations and assist in setting tables
  • perform basic side-work as needed or directed by management
  • always maintain a professional posture, never turning your back to guests
  • availability must include nights and weekends
  • protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control policies
