As a Dining Host at Main Event, your role is pivotal in shaping the first and lasting impressions of guests visiting the dining room and bar area. You will play a key part in guiding guests through their dining experience by warmly welcoming and seating them, maintaining communication with servers, server assistants, and managers to ensure a seamless service flow. This position demands a strong focus on customer service excellence, safety, and sanitation standards. The Dining Host is responsible not just for greeting guests but also for putting them at ease and ensuring that every aspect of their dining experience meets or exceeds expectations. The role requires multitasking under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and demonstrating a guest-focused mindset. You will keep the waitlist updated, perform table management, and communicate regularly with servers and guests to enhance the overall dining atmosphere. Additional responsibilities include performing opening, mid-day, or closing duties relevant to your shift to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Job Duties
- Upholding cleanliness and safety standards
- Welcome and greet all dining guests while gathering details about their visit
- Perform table management and keep the waitlist updated
- Seat the guests or hand them off to another host
- Communicate with servers and guests using table touches to ensure a seamless experience
- Thank guests for coming and welcome them back
- Perform opening, mid-day, or closing duties
