The role is critical in maintaining the health and satisfaction of residents by ensuring food safety, portion control, and timely delivery aligned with dietary needs.
In the Independent Living and Catering role, Dining Attendants are entrusted with professional wait staff duties such as taking meal orders, entering them into the POS system, serving meals and beverages, and managing catering setups and break-downs. They are expected to uphold high standards of etiquette and service, constantly monitor dining areas, anticipate resident and guest needs, and assist with special requests or projects. The role requires a high degree of teamwork, adaptability, and communication with supervisors, chefs, and other team members to ensure a smooth dining service operation.
This position demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform routine cleaning and sanitization tasks. Candidates should exhibit strong oral communication skills, a positive attitude towards customer service, and a sincere interest in geriatric care.
