The role of Digital Production Artist is a critical one within this company, tasked with transforming client artwork into formats ready for programming and printing. This position demands a professional who possesses keen attention to detail and a creative eye to ensure every facet of the client's artwork is meticulously preserved. Additionally, the artist must be capable of making precise edits to the artwork during the variable data population process. A strong color acuity is essential, as the role involves matching colors as accurately as possible for digital print work by adjusting CMYK and Pantone builds according to client requirements.

This role requires proficiency in both PC and Mac environments and the ability to use a broad range of software programs professionally. It includes setting up and editing letter texts, graphics, and fonts to client specifications based on their documents and mockups. The artist is also responsible for ensuring that artwork functions correctly when programmed, typically using dummy data, variable text or images, and sometimes basic scripting related to production jobs. This position demands a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment that is heavily client-driven, able to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.

Additional responsibilities include working closely with various departments such as Account Services, Data Center, Print Services, and Print Room to ensure seamless communication and alignment with client needs. The role also involves color proofing, copy checking, digital prepress job building, and performing ink cost analyses to safeguard profitability. Candidates must uphold company policies including confidentiality of sensitive information and comply with corporate rules and regulations.

This is a full-time, in-person role requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week.
